Our Story

At Grains of Montana, we do things differently. We do them right. And with every bite, our customers thank us for it.


We began in 2005 as a restaurant in Billings, Montana. We baked breads and pastries in the back.  Demand soon outgrew our small, one table baking area. In 2008, we broke ground on our new commercial bakery. We then began offering our unique products nationwide. We are a true family owned and operated business. Kyle and Kathy Nielsen are owner operators. Their three children now work alongside them. We surpass other companies’ standard for freshness and flavor with our innovative hands-on processes.
